Obituary of Redmond MacDonald

Alexander Redmond “Red” MacDonald of Teeswater passed away peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital, Wingham on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean MacDonald (née Harris) who predeceased him on January 4th, 2016. Dear father of Michael MacDonald (Karen) of Elmira and Ean MacDonald of London. Remembered by grandchildren, Kristy Moorebunney (Bryce), Brent MacDonald (Kayla), Amy MacDonald and Kyla MacDonald. Missed by his sister June Will of North Bay, sister-in-law Marie McCutcheon (Clarence) of Brussels and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Henrietta (née Foxton) MacDonald, infant daughter, 2 brothers in infancy and in-laws Peter Will, Erma Gadke (Arnold) and Maxine Hohnstein (Henry). A memorial service to celebrate Red’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Teeswater on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Owen Kim and Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Final resting place Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
