Obituary of Reta Gallant

Reta May Gallant (née Houghton) of Teeswater, passed away peacefully at Chapman House, Owen Sound, with family by her side, on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018, in her 83rd year.

Beloved wife of the late Fred Gallant who predeceased her on November 29th, 2016.

Loving mother of Phil Gallant (Tishi) of Dunnville, Doug Gallant (Shirley) of Toronto, Gerry Gallant (Margaret) of Paisley, Kelly Clarke (Paul) of Ottawa and Ken Gallant of Owen Sound.

Missed by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Dear sister of Marie Fodey of Regina, Viola Sheffield and Mildred Morine both of Nova Scotia.

Fondly remembered by in-laws Hilda McLean of Toronto, Sam Gallant (Sandra) of Burlington, George Gallant of Hamilton, Melvin Gallant (Florence) of Alberta and Wayne Gallant of Nova Scotia and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Murvil and Mary (née Schoffield) Houghton, daughter Janet Buffett and siblings, Joyce Connors, Mary Criss and Rachell Houghton and several in-laws.

The memorial service to celebrate Reta’s life will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Crystal Morais officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapman House, Owen Sound would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
