Obituary of Ken Kennedy

Kenneth Francis Kennedy of Teeswater, passed away suddenly, on Wednesday May 21, 2025, at age 73. 

Beloved son of the late Mathew and Kathleen (née Beninger) Kennedy.

A truly great brother, father, grandfather and kind friend to all that knew him in his travels. 

Survived by brothers Donald (Brenda) Kennedy and Bob (Debbie) Kennedy all of Teeswater.

Father of Jessica (Jason) Barlow, Mat (Ruth) Kennedy and Muffy (Zane) Davies.

Grandfather of Acacia, Mercedes, Jack, Czarina, Regan, Eloise, Zev, Madison, Roz and great-grandchild Harriet.

Deeply missed by nephews Travis and Trevor and dearly missed by other nieces and nephews.

Ken leaves a lasting legacy as a true old fashioned cowboy with humility at heart, humbleness in his actions and a man of few words but well known for his quick wit. His persona will live on through his long lasting friendships spanning decades and huge heart was evident through his passion as a great horseman, ranch manager, mountain man coal roller, travelling companion, drop-in visitor and family man. 

Predeceased by his brothers Claire (1985), Ernie (1995) and Kevin (2024).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
