Words cannot express how much I will miss Dana. I first spoke to her when we played Westgame together. I quit Westgame in 2022, and we remained good friends. She talked about her cats, her love of her occasional coffee, her favourite TV shows. Her family. Her church. She was kind, and full of empathy, and I got regular updates on the wildlife and weather around her home. She was a joy to connect with. I will miss her stories about her business, her outings with her parents and friends, her practical approach to life. Her love of her Mustang. Thank you for being a wonderful friend, Dana. I met Dana only once at her parents' home. She radiated sweetness and gentleness, and I cannot imagine the heartbreak experienced by Dennis and Kathy at her unexpected loss. Dana was a country neighbour of ours for the past 10 years. The first time I met her, Garry had gotten the riding lawn mower stuck while cutting the lawn. She saw us struggling (Garry had a broken arm or foot, I can’t remember what limb) and she came across to help us lift the lawn tractor out of the ditch. We had never even spoken but she didn’t hesitate for a second to come help us. I didn’t know Dana well, but she was always here for us. We are shocked and saddened. We are so very sorry. xoxo
