Obituary of Peter Jorg

Peter Jorg of Kincardine Township and formerly of Kitchener-Waterloo, passed away after a lengthy illness, at his home, surrounded by the love of family, on Monday, March 9th, 2026, at age 73.

Beloved husband and best friend of Judy Jorg (née Lankowski).

Dear father of Matthew Jorg, Christie Jorg and Lucas Jorg (Rebecca).

Fondly remembered by brother-in-law David Lankowski, sister-in-law JoAnn Chesher (Jim) and his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Rosa (née Koniger) Jorg, brother-in-law Ronald Lankowski and sisters-in-law Jill Lankowski and Judie Lankowski.

Peter spent years working as an OPP officer in Toronto before moving north to one of his favourite places, Red Lake, to continue with the OPP. After years there, he moved to Kitchener-Waterloo, eventually becoming manager of security services at Wilfrid Laurier University where he met his wife Judy, and welcomed his son Lucas. In 2007, the family moved to Bruce County. He loved watching and attending hockey games and tournaments with Lucas where they forged a strong bond, through the love of the sport.

Following retirement, Peter began a new career as a school bus driver with Ross Young Bus Lines, which he enjoyed greatly.

Peter fought valiantly for five plus years with his loving family by his side.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Soong, Dr. Montpellier, Dr. Aboo and his team, the specialists at London’s University Hospital, as well as his home care nurses Ji, Hannah, Laura and Jessie.

A private celebration of Peter’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
