Obituary of Karl Lang

Michael “Karl” Lang of Teeswater passed away suddenly at Wingham and District Hospital on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Lorna Lang (née Fischer). Loving father of Gerard Lang (Lori) of Waterloo, Joanne Lang of Wingham, Stephen Lang of Waterloo and Michael Lang (Jodie) of Everett. Sadly missed by his grandchildren who gave him great enjoyment, Ian Lang (Jayme Giesler), Anna Lang, Melissa Atkinson (Sarah Lyttle), Emily Atkinson (Frank Quatrini), Rebecca Atkinson, Zack Lang, Ryan Lang, Carli Lang, Sophia Lang, Jacob Lang and Megan Lang, he loved them dearly. Dear brother of Shirley Anne Lang (late Harry Psutka) of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by members of the Fischer family. Karl was very loved and admired by his numerous nieces and nephews. He took great pleasure in the time they spent together. Predeceased by his parents, Martin and Catherine (née Sullivan) Lang, infant daughter Valerie, brother Donald Lang and sister Adele Lang. Karl was a dedicated truck driver for the Teeswater Creamery and GayLea for 40 years, served with the Teeswater-Culross Fire Department for 25 years and a municipal councillor for 13 years. A casual visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., with Knights of Columbus Service at 8:30, followed by Vigil Prayers at 8:45. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Father Michael Anderson as celebrant. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund or the Teeswater-Culross Firefighters Association would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
