Obituary of Lenore Roane

Lenore Viola Roane of Toronto completed her life's journey on Friday, April 20th, 2012 at Baycrest Geriatric Centre in Toronto in her 89th year. Lenore, daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Murray) Roane was born, raised and educated in the Teeswater area. After a short work experience in Wingham, Lenore left for Toronto to pursue an accounting career, eventually retiring in her beloved city. Lenore acquired many friends in the city. Her church friends, Margaret Barrett and Barbara Craig kept in constant contact with her. Mark, Margaret and others living at 170 Roehampton appreciated Lenore's loyal friendship. Lenore will be missed by old school friends, Elmor and Jean Ross who had a long standing friendship. Lenore's remaining siblings are Gerald (Margaret) Roane of Barrie and JoAnne (John) Iverson of Paris. Sister-in-law Myrtle Roane also survives. Those siblings that went before her are Harold and Alice Roane, Olla (Geo) Schumacher, Murray Roane and Margaret (John) King. Lenore will be fondly remembered by nieces Linda, Dianne, Shirley, Cheryl, Wendy, Julie, Trudy and Margo and nephews Alan, Barry, Orin, Wayne, Gil and Ryan Laird.
