Obituary of Helen Benninger

Helen Mary Benninger of Walkerton and formerly of Teeswater passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Monday, May 11th, 2015 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Benninger who predeceased her in 1981. Dear mother of Rose Marie Detzler (Ken Elvidge) of Durham, Bernadette Van Der Gulik (Dirk) of Woodstock, Audrey Roch (Tom) of Cleveland, Dennis Benninger (Pat) of Harriston, Paul Benninger (Barb) of Owen Sound, Frances McCallum (Hugh) of Hensall, Gerard Benninger (Karen) of Brampton and Catharine Diebold (Tom) of Walkerton. Missed by 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Wilma Schumacher of Formosa, Elizabeth Kraemer of Kitchener, Helen Benninger of Waterloo, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Helen was the last surviving member of the Albert and Ellen (Ste.Marie) Schumacher family, being predeceased by her siblings, Marie Snyder (Cletus Weiler) (James Snyder), Evelyn Palubeski (Lawrence), Margaret Schwehr (Joseph), Joseph Schumacher (Dorothy), Kathleen Strauss (Leander), Rita Buckle (Joseph), Adella Coulas (Zigmund), James Schumacher (Hilda), Austin Schumacher, Alexander Schumacher, infant sister Margaret and in-laws Josephine Schwan (William), Isadore Benninger (Gladys), Julia Campbell (Alexander), Joseph Benninger (Bertha), Regina Koebel (Nicholas), Roselie Quillan (Francis), Arthur Benninger and Jerome Kraemer.
