Obituary of Thirza Donaldson

Thirza Elizabeth Donaldson a resident of Nine Mile Villa in Lucknow, formerly of Teeswater and Culross Township passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 in her 98th year. The former Thirza Wharton, beloved wife of the late David Donaldson who predeceased her in 1981. Cherished mother of Joyce MacDonald and her husband John of Teeswater, Grace Burchill and her husband Currie of London, Bev Colvin and her husband Bob of R. R. #2 Teeswater, Phyllis Ireland and her husband Bob of R. R. #3 Teeswater, Carolyn Ireland and her husband Barry of Manitoba and Jim Donaldson and his wife Sandy of Wroxeter. Dear mother-in-law of Andy McMichael of Mount Forest, Wally Pfaff of Exeter and Murray Hunter and his wife Antje of Ripley. Sadly missed by 33 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Shirley Wharton and brother-in-law Bonar Jarvis and his wife Ruby all of Wingham. Predeceased by daughters Alice in infancy, Dorothy Pfaff, Helen Hunter and Mary Allen, son-in-law Garnet Allen, grandson David Pfaff, granddaughters Krista Colvin and Cindy Ireland, great-grandson Christopher Morrison-McGlynn, parents Thomas and Caroline (Barlow) Wharton, brothers Earl, Ray and Harold Wharton all in infancy, Hugh Wharton and his wife Blanche and Tom Wharton, sister Eileen Jarvis, brother-in-law Jim Donaldson and his wife Mae and sister-in-law Hazel Bell and her husband Bert. Thirza was the last surviving member of her family.
