Obituary of Joseph Ditner

Joseph Francis Ditner of Formosa, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, January 25th, 2016 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the former Marlene Voisin. Loving father of Jeff Ditner and his wife Charlene of Formosa, Charlene Goodfellow and her husband Rob of Alma and Dan Ditner and his wife Angela of Prince George, B.C. Cherished “Papa” of Mackenzie and Cole Goodfellow and Lyla and Gavin Ditner. Fondly remembered by his sisters Fran Cassidy and her husband Brian of Kapuskasing and Marie Ditner of Peterborough and sister-in-law Ruth Ditner of Wiarton. Also survived by his mother-in-law Theresa Voisin of Walkerton, sister-in-law Jean Ann Diemert (Len Kieffer) of Mildmay, brother-in-law Glen Voisin (Barb) of Walkerton and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Loretta (Kuntz) Ditner, brother Eugene Ditner, father-in-law Gerald Voisin and brother-in-law Vern Diemert. Joe was a member of the St. Joseph Aid Society of Formosa and the Formosa Lions Club. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Formosa on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Stephen LaCroix as celebrant. A reception will take place after the funeral mass followed by a celebration of Joe’s life from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Formosa Community Hall.
