Obituary of Donald Stobo

Peacefully, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Donald John Stobo passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, September 13th, 2012 in his 70th year. Loving husband of the former Elizabeth Davis. Devoted father to Susan and her husband Jeff Barfoot of Owen Sound, Kathy of London and Linda and her partner Sandy Anderson of Teeswater. Loving grandpa to Andrew, Matthew and Rachel Barfoot and Brad and Natalie Warren. Also survived by his sister Lloye Wathke of R. R. #2 Desboro, sister-in-law Donna Stobo of Teeswater and brother-in-law Donald Dow of R. R. #3 Wingham. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Gertie (Downing) Stobo, sister and brother-in-law Colleen and Bill Robertson, sister Gloria Dow, brother-in-law Stewart Wathke and twin brother David Stobo. Fondly remembered and loved by Liz's family, Bill (1998) and Shirley Davis, Jim and Donalda Davis, Muriel and Bill Coultes and Audrey and Al Babensee. Don was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews and a great friend to many.

Visitation

Tiffin Funeral Home (The funeral home can be accessed as usual from Clinton Street. However, due to the construction in Teeswater, Clinton Street south of the funeral home is closed. Therefore, please to travel to the funeral home using Brownlee Street and then Union Street. Parking is available on both sides of Clinton Street near the funeral home.) Sunday, September 16th, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Service

Knox Presbyterian Church, 7 James Street West, Teeswater (The church can be accessed as usual from James Street. However, due to construction, James Street directly east of the church is closed. Clinton street is also closed south of James Street. Therefore, please travel to the church using Brownlee Street. Parking for the funeral is available on Brownlee Street facing north ONLY. Parking is also available on James Street from Brownlee to Janet. The grocery store offers parking as well. Monday, September 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
