Obituary of Mary O'Malley
Mary Ellen O’Malley (née McNamara) formerly of Wingham and Teeswater passed away peacefully with family by her side at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Sunday, July 17th, 2016, at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late Charles O’Malley who predeceased her in 1993.
Loving mother of Maureen Steinbach (Steve) of Cambridge, Mary Helen Deakin (Don) of Killaloe, Catherine O’Connor of Stratford, Edward O’Malley of Teeswater, Patricia Devitt (Blake) of Kincardine, Terrance O’Malley (Mary) of Elmwood and Teresa Blackwell (Ben) of Teeswater.
Missed by her grandchildren Paul Steinbach (Stephanie), Lisa Deligianis (Dino), Mary Anne Schuhbauer (Mike), Paula Grossenbacher (Werner), Jason Swanson (Sheila), Emily O’Connor, Daniel O’Connor (Shannon), Crosby Devitt (Carie), Angela Kensit (Paul), Tyson Devitt (Angela), Trent Devitt (Melissa), Clancy O’Malley, Lindsay Blackwell (Matt Smith), Greg Blackwell (Laura), Janelle Blackwell, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Camilla (Duggan) McNamara, son Richard O’Malley, son-in-law Terence O’Connor, sister Catherine Crunican (John) and brother Richard McNamara (Marian).
Mary taught with the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board for a number of years. She retired as Principal of Sacred Heart School in Wingham in 1985.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ronald McDonald House, Southwestern Ontario or the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
