Obituary of David O'Neil

Robert “David” O’Neil of R. R. #2 Holyrood and formerly of Wingham passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, August 26th, 2016, the age of 65. Beloved husband of Nancy O’Neil (née Whitby) of R. R. #2 Holyrood for 48 years. Dear father of Denny O’Neil (Carolyn) of Wingham, Serrena O’Neil (Gary Emms) of Berkley, Nicole McGlynn (Jeremy) of Holyrood and Rebecca O’Neil (Dean Stevens) of Williamsford. Missed by his grandchildren Nathan, Natasha, Ethan, Evan, Kiyia, Kassandra, Michael, Charlene (Mike Beyersbergen), Jessica, Mackenzie, Veronica, Jerri, Josephine and Dalilah and great-grandchildren, Damien, Keaton, Rylan and Aria. Fondly remembered by his brothers Rick O’Neil (Liz) of Wingham, Paul O’Neil (Joanne) of Clifford and Todd O’Neil (Adrienne) of Wingham. Also survived by his aunt Harriet O’Neil of Tavistock, several nieces, nephews, cousins, members of the Whitby family and his best friend Esben Anderson. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Velma (Powers) O’Neil and infant son Nathan (1978). Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Final resting place Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
