Obituary of Janice Benninger

Janice “Jan” Doreen Benninger (née Hayes) of Wingham, passed away suddenly at Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016, at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Lloyd Benninger. Loving mother of Angela Benninger of Wingham and Gerald Benninger (Dawn) of Blyth. Missed by grandchildren, Michael, Charlene (Mike), Philip and Rachael and great-grandchildren, Keaton, Rylan and Aria. Dear sister of Jim Hayes (Maureen) of Stratford and Jeffery Hayes of Wingham. Remembered by in-laws, Yvonne Benninger of Formosa, Roseann and Len Steffler of Cargill, Linda and Lloyd Weber of Mildmay, Cathy and Ken Waechter of Walkerton and Jerry and Pauline Benninger of Formosa. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Beatrice (née Cowley) Hayes, brother Philip Hayes and brothers-in-law David Cassidy and Carl Benninger. A celebration of Jan’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 180 (183 Victoria Street West), Wingham on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Final resting place, Wingham Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Howson Dam Repair Project would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home.
