Obituary of Violet Purdon

Violet Myrtle Purdon formerly of Palmerston and Culross Township passed away at Caressant Care in Harriston on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 in her 91st year. The former Violet (Scott) Penner, beloved wife of Russell Purdon of Harriston. Dear mother of Richard and Betty Penner of North Cobolt, Garry Penner of Missouri and Diane and Richard Marshall of R. R. #2 Drumbo. Remembered by Russell’s children, Bryan and Jan Purdon of Goderich, Milton and Diane Purdon of Alberta, Thelma Dougherty of B.C. and Linda and Dennis Coghlin of R. R. #2 Listowel. Missed by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Ruby and Bonar Jarvis of Wingham, Bernice and Harold Neumiller of Saskatchewan, Loretta and Ross Krauter of B.C., Vivian Scott of Wadena, Margaret and Don Pashishnek of Alberta, brother Eugene and Ruth Scott of Saskatchewan, brother-in-law Roger Dillabough and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arnold and Mary Scott, husband Abram, daughter Carol Penner, sisters Viola Scott in infancy, Ruth Taylor (Alvin), Vera Holderness (Edgar) and Dorothy Holmstrom (Norman).
