Obituary of Douglas McPherson

Douglas William McPherson of Teeswater, passed away surrounded by his family, at Toronto General Hospital on Saturday, May 19th, 2018, in his 89th year.

Beloved husband of the late Marilyn McPherson (née Dagg), who predeceased him on September 28th, 2016.

Dear father of Richard McPherson (Deborah) of Turnberry Township, Gail McPherson (Marg Sanborn) of Meaford and Jane Harkness (Leland) of Howick Township.

Loving grandfather of Erin Scott (Joe) of Ripley, Katie Pothier (Keith) of Southgate, Laura Harris (Michael) of Culross Township, Brett McPherson of Kitchener, Adam Harkness of Howick Township, Sarah Harkness of Belmore and Amy Weber (Justin) of Owen Sound and great-grandchildren Ewan, Madelaine, Declan, Duncan, Noah and Margot.

Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Ellen McPherson of Teeswater and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Edna (née Becking) McPherson, brother Lloyd McPherson and in-laws, Milton and Margaret Dagg and Twyla and James Brown.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Teeswater on Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Owen Kim officiating.

Interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Teeswater Town Hall Renovation Fund or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
