Obituary of Annette Roussel

Annette Reta Roussel (née Fortin) of R. R. #3 Walkerton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Sunday, June 24th, 2018, at the age of 62.

Beloved wife of Darryl Dahms.

Loving mother of Jeff Roussel (Heather) and Jen Roussel.

Fondly remembered by Darryl’s family, David Dahms (Daisy), Michelle Southwell (Ray) and Amanda Readman (Wade).

Missed by grandchildren, Jonny and Noah Roussel, Kaela Roussel, Jeremy and Madison Southwell, Deagan and Dylan Dahms, Tyson and Aliah Butler and Ava and Trey Readman.

Dear sister of Robert Fortin (Jerri), Maurice Fortin (Barb), Paul Fortin, Carol Marchand (Tom), Michael Fortin and Susan Duquette (Fred).

Also survived by the members of the Dahms and Roussel families, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

“Ms. R” will be greatly missed by her past and present Hillcrest School family in Teeswater and the amazing students she worked with over the years.  

Predeceased by her husband John Roussel, grandson Lincoln Roussel, parents Réne and Cécile (née Charlebois) Fortin, sister Janice Fortin and nephew Jason Duquette.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Chepstow Community Hall on Friday, July 6th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The memorial service to celebrate Annette’s life will be held at the Chepstow Community Hall on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverends Christine Rehkopf and Neil Thomsen officiating.

Final resting places, St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, Mildmay and Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery, Kitchener.

Memorial donations to the CT Scanner at Walkerton Hospital, Wes for Youth Online or Hillcrest Central School - Field Trip Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
