Obituary of Marjorie Moffat

Marjorie Viola Moffat (née Sewers) of Wingham and formerly of Culross Township, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at Braemar Retirement Centre on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019, at age 93.

Beloved wife of the late Currie Moffat (1996).

Cherished mother of Lois Brown of Newmarket and the late Kevin Moffat (2016).

Loving grandmother of Shantelle Melanson (Darren) and Shalon Brown (Adam Tameron).

Missed by great-grandchildren Peyton and Carter Melanson.

Remembered by her brother Mac Sewers of St. Marys and by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mayme (née McKinnon) Sewers, brothers, Jim Sewers (Verna), Bob Sewers (Evelyn), and Russell Sewers (Ruth), sisters Reta Drehmann (George) and Mary Ballagh and sister-in-law Muriel Sewers.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Friday, March 8th, 2019 12 noon until 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service to honour Marjorie’s life at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Owen Kim officiating.

Spring interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
