Obituary of Beatrice Thomas

Beatrice Marion Veronica Thomas (née Caskenette), formerly of Cambridge and Teeswater, at Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Saturday, October 5th, 2019, in her 98th year.

Beloved wife of the late Andrew Thomas (2004).

Loving mother of chosen daughter Catherine Huddleston and her husband Mike of Cambridge and chosen son Michael Thomas of Teeswater.

Greatly missed by her granddaughter Jennifer Huddleston.

Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Marion Souter and brother-in-law Herb Bohiem both of the United States, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Beatrice was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents, Raphael and Mary Ann (née Hesch) Caskenette, brothers Englebert, Howard and Gerald Caskenette and sisters, Helen Mowat, Florence Smith, Rose Wadel, Gertrude Stan, Teresa O’Rielly and Dorothy Koch.

Beatrice was a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League at St Ambrose Parish, Cambridge and Sacred Heart Parish, Teeswater.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday, October 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with Vigil Prayers at 1:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Keith Morrison officiating.

Interment Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario. 

Memorial donations to Catholic Missions in Canada, The Carmel of St. Joseph, Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or Fordwich Village Nursing Home Resident’s Council would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
