Obituary of Joseph Mitchell

Joseph Lawrence Mitchell, formerly of Teeswater and Cambridge, passed away at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Friday, September 4th, 2020, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Carol Mitchell (née George) of Wingham. Dear father of Terry Dedman (David) of Tara, Jim Mitchell of Cambridge, Michele Mitchell of Kitchener and Michael Mitchell of Toronto. Missed by 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his siblings, Bill Mitchell of Nova Scotia, Rose Heath of Cambridge, Ed Mitchell (Sandy) of British Columbia and Alice Clayton (Larry) of Cambridge. Joe is also survived by his brother-in-law Al Snooks, sister-in-law Sandra Berry and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William and Alice (née Mahé) Mitchell, brothers Constance Mitchell (Isabel), Roy Mitchell (Donna), sister Norma Snooks, family friend Ruben Pasaud, brother-in-law Robert Heath and sisters-in-law Mary Mitchell and Pat Hill. A memorial service to honour Joe’s life will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., with Ann Maycock officiating. Final resting place New Hope Cemetery, Hespeler.
