Obituary of Norman McKee
Norman James Alexander McKee, a resident of Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham and formerly of Teeswater, passed away on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020, in his 102nd year.
Beloved husband of Edna McKee (née Hunt) who predeceased him 2009, after 64 years of marriage.
Left to mourn are his sons, James McKee (Linda), Ron McKee (Gerry) and Bryon McKee all of Teeswater.
Missed by his grandchildren, Chad McKee (Andrea), Brett McKee (Sandra), Charlene Morris (Greg) and Shannon Haldenby (Jeff) and great-grandchildren, Aiden & Kylie McKee, Ellie Longstaff, Jake, Gillian and Harrison McKee, Blake and Kailynn Morris and Kyle and Erica Haldenby.
Fondly remembered by sister Hazel Brochart, companion Noreen Haines and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Eliza (née Morgan) McKee, 2 brothers, 1 sister and great-grandson Jax McKee.
Norm was born in Saskatchewan on March 1st, 1919. He spent 3 and a half years overseas in the RCAF in World War II. Coming home he worked 33 years for United Breeders. Norm was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch #180, Wingham for 53 years.
Following Norm’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in the spring.
Final resting place, Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
