Obituary of Ken Scott

Kenneth Alan Scott of Teeswater, after a courageous battle with illness, at University Hospital, London on Monday, January 11th, 2021, at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Ruth Ann Scott (Steffen) (née Readman). Loving father of Amy McNall (Seth) of London, Shaun Scott (Leanne) of Lucknow, Blair Scott (Vanessa) of Teeswater and Alicia DeVries (Brent) of Fordwich. Missed by his stepsons, Mark Steffen (Tina) of Milverton, Murray Steffen (Mary) of Formosa and Michael Steffen (Amanda) of Formosa. Doting grandpa to Presley, Liam, Kevin, Melissa, Clara, Klay, Tate, Caleb, Colton, Julie, James, Josh, Chloe, Matthew, Bradley, Riley, Clark, Ariel, Jesse and Alex. Fondly remembered by his brother Don Scott (Yoka) of Teeswater, in-laws Debbie Kennedy (Reid) of Gore Bay and Steve Readman (Diane) of Wingham along with nieces and nephews, Andrew Scott (Cassandra Massena), Clayton Scott (Tori), Mitchell Scott (Kaylan), Cedric Scott (Ashley MacDonald), Michelle Visser (Tim), Christopher Kennedy (Vivian), Kent Readman (Brittany) and Kyle Readman. Ken is survived by many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Mabel (née Hedley) Scott. As a tribute to Ken’s many years as a dedicated community volunteer, farmer, auctioneer and trucker, a convoy of trucks and farm tractors travelled Teeswater's main street the evening of Wednesday, January 13th. A graveside service to honour Ken’s life will be held at the Culross-Teeswater Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation, London Health Sciences Centre – University Campus or Bruce County 4-H Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged on-line or through the funeral home.
