Obituary of Joseph Martin

Joseph Patrick Martin formerly of Teeswater passed away peacefully at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Helen Martin (Schefter) who predeceased him in 2011. Dear father of Bill and Ruth Martin of Teeswater, Phyllis and George Henhoeffer of Wingham, Mary Houghton and Ray Walker of Wingham, Bob Martin and Vicki McDonald of Kincardine, Jean and Harry Vollmer of Turnberry Township, Elaine Garrett and John Clark of Oakville, Joyce and Bruce Jermyn of Cambridge and Rick and Patty Martin of Culross Township. Sadly missed by 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Anna Mae Schiestel of Walkerton, Clarence Martin (Kaye) of Kitchener, Madelyn Smelser of Selkirk, Rita Carr of London and Betty Hackbart of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Rita Martin of Kitchener, Dorothy Schefter and Darlene Schefter both of Walkerton and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary (Doerr) Martin, siblings Francis Martin, Marie Benninger, Florence Haynes (Jack), Marjorie Pitvor, infants sisters Shirley and Jean, and brothers-in-law Matt Schiestel, Grant Smelser, Ralph Carr, Harry Bamberger and Ken Hackbart.
