Obituary of Jean Oliver

Lorna “Jean” Oliver (née Smith) of Walkerton, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, at age 80. Beloved wife of the late David Oliver, who predeceased her on August 19th, 2019. Dear mother of Brenda Merchant and her husband Rob and mother-in-law of Debbie Oliver all of Walkerton. Missed by her grandchildren, David Oliver of Teeswater, Nicole Beitz (Catlin) of Walkerton, Ryan Simmons (Lesley Cameron) of Formosa and Jessica Simmons (Jason Wittman) of Hanover and great-grandchildren, Kohen, Jack, Colton, Chase, Lilah, Nathan, Kailey, Kaitlyn and Tyler. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Alice Smith of Clifford and several extended family members. Predeceased by her parents, Edward Smith and Reata Smith, sons Charles (in infancy) and John Oliver and brother Donald Smith. The funeral service to honour Jean’s life will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., with Ann Maycock officiating. Proof of vaccination is not required to attend the funeral service. However, all attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols. Interment Smith Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
