Obituary of Richard Elliott Senior
Richard George Elliott Senior, of Walkerton and formerly of Teeswater, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Friday, November 12th, 2021, at the age of 78.
Loving husband of Joan Irving-Elliott.
Dear father of Richard and Barb Elliott of Teeswater, Debbie and Murray Collins of Teeswater, Norman and Amancia Elliott of Labrador City, Mike Elliott and Cindy McDermid of Kincardine, Andrew and Cathy Irving of Shallow Lake and Ian and Patricia Irving of Brampton.
Missed by grandchildren, Jennifer (Neil), Bill, Joe (Staci), Heather (Jody), Tom (Cecila), Kevin (Jodi), Matthew (Sarah), Andrew (Mick), Gleeza (Edgie), R-Jay (Janine), Tyler (Crystal), Lindsay, Makaylah, Addison, Aidan and Kaitlin and 21 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Gertrude (née Turner) Elliott, his first wife, Margaret Elliott (2014) and his siblings Jim Ziegler, Don Ziegler, Butch Elliott and Geraldine Grace Elliott.
One of his many accomplishments was tearing down the old grandstand in Teeswater, to then build the one standing there today.
Following Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place.
A private family celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lake Huron Fishing Club or Chesley Hospital Foundation Projects would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
