Obituary of Kenneth Oberle

Kenneth John Oberle of Formosa passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, June 21st, 2013, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the former Susan Davidson (Sturgeon) of Formosa. Missed by step-children Lisa Davidson and Daniel Davidson both of Formosa and by step-granddaughter Amanda Campbell of Kitchener. Dear son of Marie Oberle of Maple Court Villa, Walkerton. Also survived by his sisters Marguerite Thomas and her husband Charles of Brussels and Lynda Benninger of Formosa. Fondly remembered by his aunt and godmother Rita Kroker of Cambridge, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Edgar Oberle and brothers-in-law Peter Benninger and Ken Benninger. Ken was known for his kindness and dedication to his community. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Society, the Knights of Columbus and the Formosa Lions Club. Ken was the former postmaster in Formosa and the proprietor of Oberle’s General Store where he employed many Formosa youth in their first job.
