Obituary of Marlis Hofmann
With a smile and laugh that could brighten any room, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlis Rosa Hofmann (née Wild) of Belmore, who passed away on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at the Wingham and District Hospital, at the age of 80.
Beloved wife of Edwin Hofmann, and devoted mother of Anita of Belmore, Nancy (Bob) of Ottawa, Daniel (Karina) and Patrick (Mario) of Sydney, Australia.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Aiden and Heather McGarrie of Ottawa.
Fondly remembered by her sisters Rosmary and Lydia of Switzerland.
Predeceased by her parents, Johann Baptist and Maria Theresia (née Sutter) Wild, and siblings Ida, Johann, Hilda, Edi, Mario, and Edith.
After a private funeral service, we invite our community of friends to join us at a come-and-go Celebration of Life at the Belmore Community Centre, on Saturday, May 4th from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Belmore Community Centre (cheques payable to the Township of Howick) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. These reflect Marlis' dedication to her community and her unwavering strength.
