Obituary of Robert MacMillan

Robert (Bob) James MacMillan of R. R. #1 Lucknow passed away at his residence on Friday, September 13th, 2013 in his 64th year. Born in Wingham, Ontario on December 8th, 1949 to the late Patrick and Mertis (Wangler) MacMillan. Dearly loved father of Angela MacMillan of Lucknow and Robert MacMillan (Jodie Carter) of Blyth. Sadly missed by granddaughter Naomi Carter. Beloved brother of Bill MacMillan and Eugene MacMillan both of R. R. #1 Lucknow and Margaret Lane (Stewart) of Lucknow. Remembered by Marleen Chadha (Ashok), nieces Janet, Joyce, Judy and Meera and nephew Justin and their families. Robert worked in international development as a member of CUSO from 1984-1991 and was posted in Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea along with his wife Barbara MacMillan (Vickers). They both travelled and worked extensively with the Department of Education, teaching farming and rural skills to non-formal education students. Returning back to his home in the Lucknow area, Robert farmed for several years until his health failed considerably.
