Obituary of Dorothy Whytock

Dorothy Joan Whytock (née Robertson), formerly of Teeswater, passed away quietly at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Friday, October 11th, 2024, in her 93rd year.

Predeceased by her husband Alan (2006).

Dorothy leaves to mourn her passing, 5 children Nancy Adel of Edmonton, Murray and Jean of Teeswater, Gail and Mike Dupuis of Walkerton, Wayne and Barbara of Owen Sound and Karl of Edmonton.

She will also be sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and their spouses as well as 40 great-grandchildren.

Fondly remembered by her brother Cam and Marilyn Robertson, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sister Grace and Cliff Murphy.

Dorothy was an active member of the Teeswater United Church and the UCW, before moving to Maple Court Walkerton in 2019.

Alan and Dorothy were long time members of Farm Forum while living on the farm. They made many lifelong friends traveling throughout Canada and the US in their motorhome. Dorothy enjoyed her many trips to the Teeswater library in search of the next good book. In the winter months a puzzle was always on the table for anyone to join in when they dropped by.

Dorothy will be resting at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater with visitation on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service to honour her life will be held on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.

Interment to follow at Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
