Obituary of Myles O'Donoghue

Myles Patrick O’Donoghue of Culross Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, January 18th, 2018, at the age of 85.

Beloved husband of Moira O’Donoghue (née Dales).

Dear father of Sheila O’Donoghue (Chris) of Vancouver, B.C., Brendan O’Donoghue (Marta) of Guelph, Kathleen O’Donoghue (Alan) of Victoria, B.C., Eileen O’Donoghue (Brian) of San Diego, California, Patrick O’Donoghue (Kim) of Calgary, Alberta and Daniel O’Donoghue (Becca) of Hood River, Oregon.

Missed by his grandchildren, Kate, Madeline, Owen, Mya, Finbar and his many friends.

Also survived by his sister Maura Sexton of Ireland.

Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Mary (née Gilhooly) O’Donoghue, daughter Martha (1986) and son Sean (1988).

A celebration to honour Myles’ life will take place at the Teeswater Community Centre on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Final resting place Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Flowers gratefully declined, if desired, memorial donations to the Teeswater Arena or Teeswater Swimming Pool (cheques payable to the “Municipality of South Bruce”) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  These donations will help residents enjoy free rentals of these facilities in memory of Myles.   Donations may be arranged directly through the funeral home or website.
